i recently found out that old folktales i remember being recounted to me when i was a child are barely available online anymore. for one reason or another, the finnish (especially lapponian) culture seems to be fading. me being ever-the-preservationist, i decided i wanted to add an archive to my site to preserve the stories important to me!

note: some stories may not be of finnish origin, but were recounted to me in finnish anyway lolol

here you'll be able to find recountings of said stories in english as well as the original finnish story if i can find one!! i'll be adding english recountings for the purposes of making my culture and it's wonderful mythology better known !! i'm looking forward to it.
